Over 40 years ago, in 1981, a group of us based at the University of Essex published the book, The Making of the Modern Homosexual. And very recently, one of the contributors – Gregg Blachford – has written a very lively reflection on this book, and his own engagement, in his wonderful new blog: A Gay Man’s Story in Snapshots. He says:
“I’m slowly writing a memoir of my queer life using photographs and other archival documents that I’ve collected over the years. Along the way, I hope to honour the wonderful friends I’ve had over the decades as well as my family”.
Part of this has been an entry on the Making of the Modern Homosexual. Take a look at it! Here: A Year at the University of Essex.
